Deployment of WellSim control stations with VFDs and sensors at KazMunayGas facilities

Overview

In 2014, the company participated in pilot field tests (PFT) of control stations with frequency converters at the facilities of JSC "Mangistaumunaigas" at the Zhetybai field (a subsidiary of JSC NC KazMunayGas). Controllers WellSim, Naftamatika load sensors, and position sensors were installed at the wells.

As a result of the PFT, the following was achieved:

  • the well was brought into optimal working mode;
  • continuous operation of the well with optimal fillage;
  • reduction of specific energy consumption by up to 15%;
  • real-time monitoring of surface and downhole dynacards
